DayZ Loadout Generator

Build spawn gear presets for fresh DayZ characters: clothing, backpacks, weapons, attachments, cargo and quickbar items, exported in the official spawn gear JSON format.

How spawn gear works

DayZ 1.19 added spawn gear presets so servers can give new characters a starting kit without scripting. Each preset is a JSON file referenced from cfggameplay.json. A preset can pick randomly between several outfits and give each item a health range and quantity.

How to use it

Choose items from the DayZ item list for each clothing slot, add cargo to the clothing that can hold it, and set which items go on the quickbar. The generator only offers attachments and cargo that fit the item you picked, so the result loads without errors.

Export the JSON, upload it to your mission folder, add it to the spawn gear list in cfggameplay.json and restart the server.
